We are now offering the Moderna vaccine for children aged 6 months to 4 years.
We are vaccinating members of our practice for now and will be able to vaccinate any interested people soon. If you are not part of our practice and want your little one vaccinated, call or text the office and we will invite you to an appointment soon.

Drop-in Wednesday, June 22 or Saturday, June 25 from 9 am to 1 pm on a walk-in basis.
Plan to stay for 15 minutes after your vaccination.

We are asking people to mask if they are sick or bringing a sick child into the office.
Our staff and providers will continue to mask for now.

COVID Vaccine Updates
For now...
We are offering flu shots ONLY only as of September 27, 2023.
Unfortunately, COVID vaccines for little ones are still not widely available. Things should change by mid-October 2023.
For now, we suggest the following:

Call your insurance company and verify that they are covering the vaccine. Some are not and the price is around $250.

If they aren't covering it, tell them that they should.

Find out if your insurance company has a preferred location for you to immunize your child with the COVID vaccine. Some are only paying for the vaccine at a particular pharmacy.
I anticipate that COVID vaccine for kids will be available in Utah first through the University of Utah and Intermountain systems and then more widely as we move from October into November.
It is an unfortunate part of American medicine that private insurance companies do not have to pay for a "new" vaccine until one year after implementation. Implementation of the COVID vaccine through private insurance companies has been problematic this fall. This is an evolving situation.
